A hot meal can do amazing things for a person.

Founded on this simple idea, Potluck in the Park works to nourish and enrich the lives of Portlanders in need—by providing nutritious food and genuine human connection. Every Sunday, volunteers prepare, transport, and serve 300–550 meals, each costing about $1.50 to make and deliver.

We’re entirely community-powered—no paid staff, no government funding. Every dollar you give goes directly to food, storage, and supplies for our weekly meals. In addition to nourishment, guests receive the Rose City Resource Guide, connecting them to local support services, and are always welcomed with dignity, respect, and kindness.

You can help Potluck in the Park earn donations just by shopping with your Fred Meyer Rewards card!

Fred Meyer is donating $2.5 million per year to non-profits in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, based on where their customers tell them to give. Here’s how the program works:

  • Sign up for the Community Rewards program by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Potluck in the Park at www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards. You can search for us by our name or by our non-profit number (88075).
  • Then, every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you are helping Potluck in the Park earn a donation!
  • You still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates, just as you do today.
  • Sign up for the Community Rewards program by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Potluck in the Park at www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards. You can search for us by our name or by our non-profit number (88075).
  • Then, every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you are helping Potluck in the Park earn a donation!
  • You still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates, just as you do today.
